“Tom, I have something I need to talk to you about.”

“Um… it’s Friday, bowling night.”

“Don’t go. We need to talk, please.”

“I’ll be late” he said leaving.

She picked up the phone and called her girlfriend.  I’ve officially reached critical mass.  It’s time.”

“Okay, you can stay here” and they hung up.

Like a robot, she went to the bedroom, got her suitcases and packed.

She reread the letter.  The woman said they’d been meeting every Friday night for years.

She took her wedding rings off, putting them on the kitchen counter on top of the letter and walked out.
