Saturday Centus #4

It's time for Jenny Matlock's Saturday Centus.  She gives us a prompt and then we have to write the rest with 100 words or less.  The prompt will be in bold letters.  Go to this link to either read or participate.

***********

As Dad and I drove out the driveway, many childhood memories flooded back.  Since mom ran away, we were all we had.

We were going to our usual restaurant on the eve of my wedding.

We ordered a drink and then dad disappeared.

After some time, the waitress came.

“May I help you, miss? You look puzzled.”

“Mmmm… thank you, I’m just looking for my father. We came in together a moment ago, but he seems to have wandered off.”

Suddenly, I heard familiar music.  I followed it to the patio.  There my father stood surrounded by twinkling lights and roses.  As his hand reached out, I fell into his arms for one last dance and he whispered in my ear "You will always be my little girl".
