Alphabe-Thursday

For the letter Z, I chose zero, zilch skills because that's what I'd say my Mom and me had when it came to fixing my hair for school pictures.  

Exhibit A - Mom fixing my hair - Actually except for the bangs being rather short this isn't too bad.

Exhibit B - What was mom thinking?  Looks kind of zany to me.


Exhibit C -  Again Mom fixed my hair.  If this whole hairdo doesn't scream zigzag, I don't know what does.



Exhibit D - Unfortunately, this was probably all my doing, ha.  I look a little zozzled here but I'm not.




P.S.  I think there must have been something on my scanner that I have that big black mark on my face, trust me I wasn't trying to me an old time movie star, ha, ha, ha. 

Thank goodness Alphabe-Thursday is done for now, I think I've embarrassed myself quite enough.  Alphabe-Thursday seemed to just grow and grow which is a testament to the teacher's fun idea.

    you looked quite adorable in the first two shots -I don't quite know what to make of the third hairstyle - it does seem to be zigzaging to some degree. the last looked like a bob - sort of remind me of Shirley from Laverne and Shirley

    and I had to smile when I see photos like those - they certainly makes me think of childhood so thanks for the smile

    i don't think these are too bad at all...i think they are fetching hair styles...it is much better than having a mom who shows up to school on picture day with a can of hair spray, and an arsenal of beauty products (not mine, but my friend's mom)...now that is embarrassing!

    Those old school pictures......not much I can say as I have a collection too. My mum had some strange ideas about hair, and I (as firstborn) bore the brunt of her imagination when it came to coiffure.

    Hee hee... I think we all had zig zag looking hair back in the early 60's when it seems that ALL MOTHERS did our hair. Mine even used Butch Wax on my hair to make it behave.

    This is hilarious. I remember my mom doing my hair in a braid in the morning before school. By the time I got home from school the braid was no more. All that was left in my hair was a loose-hanging piece of elastic. Lots of laughs.

    Hi Viki,

    You are a very courageous lady. My mom really did not have the time to curl my hair. I was always in a pony tail with no bangs either. Now that my kids are older I'm being criticized for the way their hair looked. You just cant win LOL. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for sharing your school pictures. My grandmother used to display all of her grandkids' school pictures on a big peg board. I think I had one picture up there (out of 17!) that didn't make me want to hide from embarassment.
