It's Saturday Centus again - in a nutshell, Jenny Matlock gives us a prompt from either herself or a guest submitter and then we have to write 100 or words less related to the prompt (the prompt doesn't count toward the 100 words) Then link it up to her blog. It's open until the following Saturday, so that means you have all week to participate by either reading or writing. This week there is a SHAKE UP: Microfiction only 25 words. http://jennymatlock.blogspot.com/search/label/Saturday%20Centus
My son is flying home next week. I'm over 700 blogs posts behind, yikes.
The prompt is in bold.
I imagine all the time if I was the lottery ticket winner. Money can't buy happiness but it does buy security for your family.
And security is a pretty nice stress reducer!

ReplyDeleteYes, money is security for the things we need and want. Who doesn't dream of winning a lottery ticket? Great finish to the prompt!
ReplyDeleteI know money doesn't buy happiness but I'd like to try! :)
ReplyDeleteIt certainly would! I couldn't agree more :o)
ReplyDeleteSo true. I know everyone says money doesn't buy happiness, but I would love to be able to judge for myself LOL. Great job! Kat
ReplyDeleteYes I agree. I have quite a few places where I could place some extra money if it came flying into my hands through a windfall.
ReplyDeleteSo true, so true...
Best wishes,
Anna

Yes, I would love to find out for myself if "money doesn't buy happiness."
ReplyDeleteYes, yes it does buy security. I'm afraid I won't ever know that security!
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny that the centus is about "the lottery" today, because I bought 3 lottery tickets today and I NEVER buy them...well, maybe once every couple of YEARS! All I'd like is enough $$ to pay all my bills and be out of debt!
ReplyDeleteYou said so much in just two sentences! Yes, money can provide security, but it definitely does not guarantee happiness. Thanks for this thought provoking post.
ReplyDeleteNamaste..........cj
yes it does .... and wouldnt that put a smile on your face!
ReplyDeleteVery true. I like your honest, straight forward approach.

Amazing how 'security' becomes more important as we mature. Nice job, Viki!
ReplyDeleteit could buy security, if you handled it well. Nice story!!!
ReplyDeleteYep it do.
ReplyDeleteGlad your son is coming home soon.
I just dumped my Reader. Couldn't take the pressure anymore. Gah!
It doesn't buy happiness but it sure doesn't push it away either.
ReplyDeleteYou are so true! We watched the movie, The Social Network, last night and it proved that money can really causes lots and lots of heartache! Thanks for commenting on my post.
ReplyDeleteWe all have that dream.....extra cash does make live a bit easier. Very nice take.
ReplyDeleteAbsolotely. It would solve so many problems wouldnt it!
ReplyDeleteOh yes! *sigh*
ReplyDeleteNice centus. :-)
Nice, sound thinking...Peace
ReplyDeleteIt's a wise thought. And additionally I like the idea of what a character might go on to do to provide security if they didn't win... (other than working hard, making smart decisions, and saving. yawn) ;) Thought provoking.
ReplyDeleteSo true. Give me more :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely yes! I spend many a happy dream on how I shall divide up my winnings :)
ReplyDeleteWell said!
ReplyDeleteHow fun about your son!
When I'm that far behind, I just delete everything and start fresh. You can just pretend your computer crashed or something.
