The prompt is in bold.
Sean finally told the doctor about his problem. He gave him some samples to try. He took one and then called his wife.
“I did it”, he said.
“I’ll be waiting”.
As he walked in the house, the lights were turned down. He could smell the scented candles burning. The anticipation; it was growing bigger by the minute.
” Are you ready to try”? She said.
“Yeah, I think so”.
She changed into her nightclothes and opened the bedroom door. She heard snoring. “Thank goodness, the insomnia is gone and I’ll be able to get some sleep tonight”.
LOL ... very cleverly done, I loved it! :o)
ReplyDeleteOh a good twisted snicker this morning...I need that! :)
ReplyDeleteI laughed so hard I scared the cat! This was really clever. I wondered if someone was going to take the prompt in this direction. Love the twist at the end! Kat
ReplyDeleteFunny! And sleep is so over rated sometimes anyway!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I adore this one! Reminds of the years I spent as an insomniac...you'd do anything for a good night's sleep. Glad the wife was able to get some rest, too!
ReplyDeleteFor a minute, i was afraid that you forgot Jenny's PG-rated warning...well done!
ReplyDeleteVery clever! Well done. :-)
ReplyDeleteI too was thinking this was going in the wrong direction (non PG rating -lol) but you had a nice little twisty ending there - E :)
