It's Saturday Centus again - in a nutshell, Jenny Matlock gives us a prompt from either herself or a guest submitter and then we have to write 100 or words less related to the prompt (the prompt doesn't count toward the 100 words) Then link it up to her blog. It's open until the following Saturday, so that means you have all week to participate by either reading or writing. The prompt is in blue. http://jennymatlock.blogspot.com/search/label/Saturday%20Centus
This week is a shake up week with ONLY 25 words plus the prompt.
I'm still continuing my story. You can go back here to read the Past centus's
"I don't envy you cutting that grass. Gramps would always say I'm not getting any younger when he did it".
"I just started and I'm already thinking that".
If we even HAD grass here, there's no way I would dream of cutting it in this heat! Good use of the prompt!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job ! I admire that you are still continuing your story... I'm enjoying every new episode !
ReplyDeleteAs for grass, it's either burnt by the heat here or grows too fast 'cause of the rain...luckily, our boys cut it for us !
Love this continuation! As to cutting grass in our heat down here in Georgia - forget it!
ReplyDeleteGreat job.
Namaste..........cj
My least favorite chore:@)
ReplyDeleteGreat continuation with less words!~Ames
ReplyDeleteP.S. Our grass is growing so fast because of the rains, my husband is cutting it every two days now!~Ames
One heck of a lawn then!!Excellent!
ReplyDeletesmart move.
ReplyDeletehope things get better after you write it out, aloud.
You did so much with so few words. I can visualize this one. Great job.
ReplyDeleteand gramps probably didn't have a self propelled lawn mower.
ReplyDeletegreat job.
The glory of getting old is that you get to pass jobs like that onto your children...
ReplyDelete=)
Kudos for the series....a thankless job i can only imagine.
ReplyDeleteWow, a series. I've given up the idea of writing a series on my blog. If my fictional characters (Sanna Rumsten and John Tell) fit into the prompt, so be it. But I can't keep an intrigue going over time. I like the freedom of being able to write something entirely different if it suits the prompt.
ReplyDeleteI suspect that you have an outline that you follow, or perhaps not?
In the end you will have a finished story. Well done!
Best wishes,
Anna
Books are heavy-Anna's SC wk 63
