Windows?

Has anyone installed Windows 10?  I got the free download but I'm afraid to install it, ha!  I'm scared it might screw all the stuff I have saved.

    My son is a computer tech. Asked him this same question. He said it's fine to download it. Just has a different format. (whatever that means)
    Now I'm hoping after turning the request to install down, it over and over again, that it comes back on my screen.
