If you know someone that is going through cancer treatments, offer your help. Some times it's hard to accept help. Most people won't call and ask. Call occasionally with suggestions of things you can do. Bring a meal, drive their kids to school or activities, pick up groceries, drive them to the doctors, sit with them during treatments, clean their house, do yard work etc. Also, support their caregiver. They are going through a tough time too.

These people are called angels. :0)
That a good tip for all to live by under any circumstance.-mike
Last year Rod and I lost two golfing friends to cancer. The first was his closest friend here. The second was one of those people who are called angels. Her husband had by-pass surgery several years ago and came out of it paralyzed from the waist down. She did an amazing job caring for him, as well as volunteering at her church. Then she was diagnosed with breast cancer, which was "cured" and then she came down with colon cancer, which took her out. Although she was not as close a friend as BJ and Maryann, I still mourned her death. Sometimes life is just so unfair!
I'm loving your breast cancer suggestions all to pieces.
All great tips. I say just show up and do for them. If you ask what they need, they'll almost always assure you they're fine.
AND orange tictacs are great for their dry throats and nausea. Just sayin.
Yhere's a drawing on my Wed post you might enjoy.
Gosh this is so true Viki...great reminder to us all.
This is so true Viki, and it can mean so much to a person who needs both help and a little companionship.
