I don’t know about you but sometimes when I read a book, I
skip over some parts. I usually think it’s
too much detail (blah, blah, blah, blah, blah). Therefore, I get more
quickly to the parts I’m really interested in.
However, listening to audio books, I find I don’t skip
things. (Frankly, because it’s not as
easy to do, ha.)
There’s something about listening to someone else read
though that make the parts I normally would have skipped over so much more interesting. Not always, but mostly.
How about you? Do
you skip quickly through parts of books when reading if you are not interested
or do you trudge through it anyhow?

I read it all -- sometimes I go back and reread something! I have to finish the book, even if it's not so interesting! Maybe those would be more interesting on audio!
Only in non-fiction will I skim, and only if it feels repetitive.
I obsessively read every.single.word...
even the dedication! and forward! and bibliography! I know, I'm weird....
I'm very picky am definitely a skim reader! I keep meaning to try audio books, you have given me a reminder, thanks

It depends--right now I'm reading The Luminaries, and once I decided that the cast of characters in the front of the book was just too much to remember, my reading is going a lot more quickly.
We always take audio books on trips. It makes the hours fly by!!
