“Come in Sara, I’m
awake.”
“Here she is
grandma” and she placed a baby in the old woman’s arms.
“Hospitals sure
let newborns out quickly nowadays.”
“I’ll say to think
yesterday at this time I was in labor.”
“She’s just
beautiful, honey. She looks like you
when you were born.”
“I’m going to grab
a cup of coffee and leave you two alone for a while.”
“Okay.”
Sarah got coffee
stopping outside the door when she heard the lullaby.
“Sleep my child,
and peace attend thee”
Knowing this was possibly
the last time she would hear it from her grandma the tears came.

Oh dear......
Oh, this is sad, yet sweet.
You create such a wonderful, memorable picture. So sweet!
This one got me a little teary this morning.
=)
No you made me cry that was bitter sweet
Very moving. The beginning and the end, which is really the beginning. And the legacy lives on.
Oh man.
I have tears in my eyes.
This was really, really poignantly lovely.
