We are waiting to have our taxes done and I see it, my nemesis.
I eye it and then look away, glancing occasionally wanting it.
I think 'oh no, you're not going to get me this time.'
We get called into the office and get our taxes done.
We start leaving and I think all I have to do is go out the door without looking at it.
Hippie says "Do you want some?"
The moment of truth. The temptation too great I say "Yes."
I walk out with two boxes of Trifold Girl Scout cookies. Darn!! I almost got away!

Vegan
I don’t know if I've mentioned before, my son’s girlfriend
was a vegetarian. As of January 2012,
she became a vegan. Since my son doesn’t
cook much at home, he pretty much eats what she eats.
When we go out to Vegas, he usually eats meat at every
meal we’re paying for, ha.
When he was home in January, the day he came home it was
ll:30 at night so earlier in the day I made sloppy joe’s. I thought it would be easy and he could eat whenever he wanted. I also made (at his request) pot roast one day. The issues came one night when hippie, our
son and one of his buddies went to get wings.
That night, he got really sick and then next day as well. I think it was too greasy and his system
isn’t used to that.
It’s so strange to me the things he eats as an
adult. I never cooked with many
vegetables (he loves them). I never
cooked with many spices (he loves them).
We never ate Indian, Mexican, Chinese, etc. (he loves different kinds of
food).
My tastes haven’t really changed much from when I grew
up. Although I do eat more vegetables
then when I was young!
