Garden

Check at Jenny's for more Alphabe-Thursdays.  http://jennymatlock.blogspot.com/2014/07/alphabe-thursday-letter-g.html

We've always had a vegetables garden in the summer.

Some years we get a lot of veggies out of it.  A few years ago, the squirrels starting getting the tomatoes.  Although it took us a while to figure it out.

Last year, we had a deer come.  He ate the green beans and some tomatoes.

When hippie was supposed to dig up the garden and plant this summer we were headed for vacation.  I suggested maybe we should forget a garden this year.  I was afraid the deer would remember and come back.

So, this is the first year we don't have one.  It will be different.

Yes, I think the squirrels got my first few tomatoes this year. Not very nice since I put out corn for them!

Too bad about the squirrels and the deer. They're just looking for food too....

Fortunately, the deer can't jump our high fence. The squirrels were getting into my bird feeders until I covered the poles with Vaseline!

Hope you have neighbors who can share their bounty♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/gathered-flotsam/

I can't have one up here because of the deer, but I do plant some boxes on the deck and they give me a lot of greens and herbs...

It will be, but you can go and visit all the Farmer's Markets and pick up goodies just like from your garden!

I miss a garden too! It's just not the same buying even from the farmers market! Have a great week.

I also miss my grand gardens!

I have three small raised planters on the side of the house but they don't produce too much!

However, I put some pepper plants (hot and sweet) in the planters with the flowers by the pool and they are going nuts!

There's always next year!

This was a great post but I feel your sadness...

Sending you a hug along with your A+
