I'm happy to leave 2014 behind. It was a tough year.
2015 is shaping up to be another weird, tough year. Many members of my family are having operations in the coming year, as well as a friend. I'm doing a lot of worrying about people. I know everyone will come out good but it is still difficult.
Our son and his girlfriend will be getting married this year which I'm thrilled about.
I wanted to get some painting done in the house last year but things ended up being too crazy. Hopefully, I will get it done this year. I have a new bedroom set picked out, if only I can get that room painted so I can buy it.
Who knows what else will transpire this year but I'm hoping the good will outweigh the bad.
So no goals or resolutions this year, I'm just going to hang on, heh, heh.

OH IO
The Ohio State won the national championship. I still couldn't watch it all the way through. I kept flipping the TV on and off, heh, heh. I've been let down so many times by Ohio professional teams but the Bucks came through.
Good job BUCKS!!!

Sometimes it's just your fault
and it's mine, ugh.
I knew we were having trouble with our drain, by the stationary tub, in the basement, before we went on vacation in December. I thought I'll call when we get back. Then there was Christmas, New Years and I didn't bother.
Around 3 yesterday, I was doing a load of laundry and saw the water wasn't draining well. I flushed the toilet down there and up came more water from the drain.
I figured it was going to be the weekend and we would be stuck if it got worse. The rubber was meeting the road with this pretty quick so I called the city. They sent guys out to clean it from the street. I was happy, thrilled until dum, da, da, dum, they flooded the laundry room.
It wasn't really their fault, they were determined, had a challenge to get it unblocked. We had to keep turning on every faucet in the house and flushing the toilets. I kept telling hippie to tell them to stop when I saw what was happening down the basement but he didn't. I said we should just call a plumber and get it cleaned from the inside since that was where it seemed to be blocked now. They kept thinking they would get it unstopped.
Finally, admitting defeat they gave up. Luckily, they called the county to come. They said not to expect them until late. Surprisingly they came pretty quick. It took them less then 10 minutes to get it unclogged. The city guys had done most of the work but because of the way the sewer pipes are they couldn't get to where the paper was clogging it.
I was happy, thrilled, dum, da, da, dum, except for the mess down the basement. Thankfully, hippie is taking care of it. There's a bunch of stuff in the stationary tub that will need to be washed. Right now, he is washing the floor with bleach.
This isn't the first time this has happened but not to this extent. Hopefully, I learned my lesson.

Las Vegas misc.
1. First time since we've been coming to Vegas every morning wasn't sunny. There were a few cloudy days.
2. Last time we were in Vegas there was the Burlesque convention, this time there was a rodeo competition in town at different places. Where we stay there is an arena, and they had the rope competition in it. A lot of cowboys and cowgirls stayed at our hotel/casino. I never saw so many cowboy hats and boots before. It was really pretty cool. Also, the casino played a lot more country music.
3. At the food court they have a Fuddrucker's. Son always eats hamburgers from their when we come. I finally had one, it was yummy. I wish I would have known they were so good, I would have eaten one every time we came. We don't have any in Ohio, I don't think. Even hippie tried them this time and got them twice after I went up to the room, lol.
4. What son and I do eat there is a hot dog vendor close to the betting tables. I usually wouldn't come down from the room until 12 or 1. When I did, son would always get hot dogs for us. They are the best.
5. When son, girlfriend and I went to the buffet I got a self serve ice cream cone for dessert. Who knew it was so hard to swirl the ice cream in the cone from the machine?
6. Hippie got propositioned again by a hooker, ha! She gave him her card just in case for when we come back.
7. One night when walking to our room we smelled something awful. It smelled like skunk. A couple days later, hippie remembered a conversation we had with someone a while back about some marijuana smelling like skunk. I think we solved the mystery!
