Mom went back to the nursing home on Saturday. When I got there, she had another bump on the other leg @@. The nurse called the doctor and he said he had seen it but didn't leave any instructions for it.
While this doctor we've been dealing with is okay, I found out I could switch doctors. In particular, I could switch to a doctor that has a nurse practitioner that is at the nursing home 5 days a week. So, I switched mom to them. The nurse was suppose to work on it when she got back on Tuesday but somehow she managed to get it done right away. Mom was able to see her yesterday already. She is a Geriatric Clinical Nurse Specialist and has a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Degree. I think she will be great for mom and will get to know Mom much better so when things crop up, she will have a better idea of what's going on.

She sounds very promising! Sorry your Mom is still having difficulties, hopefully they will be resolved soon!

Just catching up on your posts. looks as if a lots been going on with your mom. Sounds like you've made a good switch. Nice to have someone that will be there about everyday. -mike
sorry to hear of your troubles, having read your post. I hope that things will be taking a upturn so you can feel more at ease with the care your mum deserves
