Saturday Centus #14

It's Saturday Centus again - in a nutshell, Jenny Matlock gives us a prompt from either herself or a guest submitter and then we have to write 100 or words less related to the prompt (the prompt doesn't count toward the 100 words)  Then link it up to her blog.  It's open until the following Saturday, so that means you have all week to participate by either reading or writing a Centus. http://jennymatlock.blogspot.com/search/label/Saturday%20Centus   This is true story lol.

Objects in the rear view mirror are closer than they appear but he's oblivious to it and doesn't care.

I hate it when we're on a two lane road.  It's like he's leading a caravan.  "Can't you go at least a couple of miles above the speed limit'?

"No" he says.  "If you don't like the way I drive, get a license".

"Touche", I think to myself.  If he's said that to me once he's said it a thousand times.  I know he's right but I'm just too afraid.

Finally, we turn onto a four lane street and people pass us and relief sets in.  Until the next time.

Good little twist there.

Viki, This is a great take on the prompt. I can empathize with you about two-lane roads, (not to mention the back seat driver)!

Thanks..........cj

Very good job this morning! I can feel her fear...of his driving, of facing the learning herself.

Can't wait to find out why she's too afraid to get a license....

In other words, you left me wanting more...

The definition of writing success, right?

As someone who had been behind such a caravan, I beg you "Please get your license!!!" HAHA! Love your take on the prompt.

This conversation would probably be in my husband's head if I were behind the wheel...except he has his license.

He, on the other hand, is the one riding the bumper of the car in front of him...as the spittle from his rant hits the windshield.

So real! and the very reason I avoid two lane highways.

I think I've been behind this fellow a time or two! LOL! This was very well crafted.

nice take on SC, although I am not at all that familiar with driving but I think people on the passenger seats always seems to want to drive

HaHa Viki. No license? Probably a good thing cause you'd for sure go s.l.o.w.e.r

Love your true life stories :)

I know just how frustrating it is driving with someone who pootles! Great post!

Could you ask him to leave a bit later each morning? Because I'm pretty sure I'm behind him every day on my way to work! Great take on the prompt, very clever. Kat

Ooh. I can't stand driving behind slow people and I can't stand being in the car that is the slow one even more. I can totally relate to that last line, "relief sets in." Good job!

Nice use of the prompt. I love "backseat" drivers. Maybe because I often am one.

I'm usually a front seat braker! Yea, I can slam down that invisible brake pedal with the best of them.

This was fun.
