Saturday Centus #2

WEEK 2 PROMPT
The small Cessna 172 picked up speed as it roared down the runway, Sara at the controls, the flight instructor beside her,

and they were off.

This was to be Sara's last lesson with the instructor before the big test to get her license.   She felt good about herself.  She was so close to finally accomplishing the goal she had set for herself since she was a little girl.

As they landed the flight instructor looked at Sara and said "You did a great job Sara.  You should have no trouble passing the test".  Sara looked at him and said "Thanks Dad, I couldn't have done it without you".

This has been Saturday Centus at Jenny Matlock's where you get the prompt and have to come up with 100 words or less to finish the story.  People will be participating all week so check them out  http://jennymatlock.blogspot.com/search/label/Saturday%20Centus

This mystery instructor is Sara's Dad? lol . We all thought he was the one she'd fall in love with but your take is certainly unique. I feel bad for Sara now :(

That's really cool. A long time ago, I participated in a writer's group that did something similar! It was fun! I liked your ending!

What a sweet story. There can be nothing better than a dad like Sara's. I should know. Mine died in a car crash when I was seven. I'm little jealous.

Shakira is all over this one. What a tribute for Father's Day.

Thanks so much for this little story.

Wow, the fact that Dad even survived teaching his daughter to fly is beyond amazing all by itself!
