Saturday Centus

My untied shoelace changed my life. As I leaned down to re-tie it, I had kicked away a few leaves. When I turned my head slightly to look where the leaves had been. I was astonished to see a rubber-banded wad of hundred dollar bills nestled in a little indention in the muddy ground.

I looked around and the street was desolate.  I took the money home and wondered what to do. I kept up with the newspaper and television to see if there was anything about missing hundred dollar bills.  Nothing.

The untied shoelace changed my life but not in the way you would think. I  promptly put the money in the bank and was now the "keeper of the money" just in case the owner ever did come to light.  If that never happened, I would let my son worry about it when he inherited it LOL.

This is a new thing at Jenny's called Saturday Centus.  On Saturday she gives a prompt (which is the first paragraph) and then we have to come up with 100 words or less after it.  We have all week to do it and then link up at any time.  I hope this is right.  I'm sure she'll tell me if I'm wrong.  Go check it out all week and see what people come up with and also you can join it.  I must say it's pretty hard coming up with only 100 words or less.

Jackie, I think she meant don't count the prompt as part of the 100 words or less.

That did in fact make me giggle. I had considered a similar process of becoming the "keeper" but didn't go that route. I love what you did with it

I love this! Next week I will clarify things but this is exactly how I'm doing my post.

I don't know if we should title them or just put our names on them.

What to do? What to do?

This was a wonderful twist.

And this week Mr. Jenny is going to write the prompts he says so I can't "cheat".

Totally loving this.
