Saturday Centus #24

It's Saturday Centus again - in a nutshell, Jenny Matlock gives us a prompt from either herself or a guest submitter and then we have to write 100 or words less related to the prompt (the prompt doesn't count toward the 100 words)  Then link it up to her blog.  It's open until the following Saturday, so that means you have all week to participate by either reading or writing  http://jennymatlock.blogspot.com/The prompt is in bold.

"Trick or treat!" they shouted as the door opened.

"Oh my, two pirates.  Whatever will I do"?

"It's Billy and Sam, grandma.  Don't be afraid".

"Billy and Sam?  You fooled me" as they laughed.

"Come on in and have some hot chocolate" as their parents drove off waving.

"When it gets a little darker, grandpa will take you to trick or treat".

Suddenly they heard, "Ahoy, Matey's ".

When they turned around they squealed with delight.  "Grandpa, you're a pirate just like us".

"Let's get a picture" grandma said.

"This is going to be the best Halloween ever", Billy said as they waited for their picture to be taken.

I love this. I think grandparents make better parents. They can relax and have more time to enjoy their children and grandchildren. ~Ames

Oh, this was sweet.

It made me think of the way my husband is with our Grands. He would totally dress up like a pirate.

Thanks for making me smile on this little journey through Halloween stories, Miss Viki.

You're awesome.
